Biography

With a PhD in Biomedicine, she has over 20 years’ experience in biomedical research and the management of scientific projects in academic and biotechnology settings. She has built her career at institutions such as IRB Barcelona and within the biotechnology sector, leading projects in oncology, molecular biology and drug development, as well as initiatives focused on innovation and collaboration between the scientific and business communities. At the CaixaResearch Institute, she is the Scientific Project Manager for the Glycoimmunology laboratory, coordinating national and international research projects and also helping to secure competitive funding and to draft and review scientific publications and projects, as well as supporting the scientific coordination of the team and collaborations with academic, clinical and industrial institutions.

Research lines

Research into immunoregulatory circuits mediated by lectin–glycan interactions that govern the homeostasis of the immune system and play a role in the pathogenesis of neoplastic, inflammatory and infectious diseases, with the aim of developing innovative therapeutic strategies designed to modulate these circuits.
