Mar Canyelles graduated in Biology from the Universitat de Barcelona and completed a master’s degree in Advanced Immunology at the Universitat de Barcelona and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. During her degree, she carried out a research stay at the European Institute for the Biology of Ageing (the Netherlands). She then joined the Malaria Immunology group at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) as a laboratory technician. She now carries out her doctoral research in Dr Moncunill's group—while she keeps her affiliation with ISGlobal—characterising the cellular response to the RTS,S/AS01E malaria vaccine, with a particular focus on monocytes and T lymphocytes.
