A pharmacist and senior laboratory technician with extensive experience in biomedical research, for 17 years he worked at the Immunopathology Laboratory of IBYME-CONICET, where he developed immunological and biomolecular techniques such as ELISA, Western blot, recombinant protein purification and monoclonal antibody production, as well as managing experimental models. He has specialist training in cellular and molecular immunology and works in animal facilities in strict accordance with European regulations. At the CaixaResearch Institute, he provides advanced technical support and helps to carry out both basic and translational research projects.
Research into immunoregulatory circuits mediated by lectin–glycan interactions that govern the homeostasis of the immune system and play a role in the pathogenesis of neoplastic, inflammatory and infectious diseases, with the aim of developing innovative therapeutic strategies designed to modulate these circuits.
