The Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) and the CaixaResearch Institute have signed a collaboration agreement to strengthen research, innovation and training in immunology. The partnership reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to fostering scientific excellence, supporting the next generation of researchers and accelerating the translation of knowledge into societal impact.

The agreement establishes a framework for long-term collaboration across several strategic areas, including the attraction and development of research talent, postgraduate and doctoral education, specialised training programmes, scientific outreach, innovation and knowledge transfer. By combining their complementary expertise, UPF and the CaixaResearch Institute aim to create new opportunities for collaboration while contributing to the continued advancement of immunology.

One of the central objectives of the agreement is to reinforce the connection between research and higher education. The agreement was signed during a visit by a delegation from Pompeu Fabra University to the CaixaResearch Institute. During the visit, representatives from both institutions toured the Institute’s new facilities and exchanged views on future opportunities for collaboration, marking the beginning of a partnership built on a shared vision for the future of science.
