Biography
With over 20 years of experience in research management at leading scientific institutions, Sònia Saborit has specialised in securing competitive funding and supporting the development of research projects in the health and biomedical sciences. Before joining the CaixaResearch Institute, she served as Section Head of Pre-Award Grants at IRB Barcelona and contributed to the institute’s Gender Equality and Diversity strategy through the European project CALIPER. She also gained experience at AQuAS, ICFO and the Hospital del Mar Research Institute, developing a deep understanding of the research and innovation ecosystem in Catalonia.
At the CaixaResearch Institute, Sònia coordinates funding strategies to support the centre’s growth, attract top talent and ensure the long-term sustainability of its scientific mission.
