Mireia Castanys Tutzó holds a PhD from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and specialises in research management and institutional relations. Throughout her career she has connected people, institutions and initiatives to strengthen the research system and generate a positive impact on society. Her experience combines the strategic direction of research organisations, the creation of collaborative networks and the promotion of projects that advance knowledge and scientific excellence. Trained in ethical leadership at ESADE, she champions a way of leading based on commitment, responsibility and service to the community. At the CaixaResearch Institute, Mireia helps to consolidate an international benchmark centre in immunology, convinced that research is an essential tool to advance as a society and improve people's lives.
