Biography
Marina Martínez holds a PhD in Translational Medicine from the Universitat de Barcelona and combines in her career translational biomedical research, scientific project management and regulatory affairs. She has worked at biomedical institutions such as IrsiCaixa and Mútua Terrassa, focusing her research on translational and clinical projects and studying cellular changes in the immune system of people living with HIV and their relationship with cardiovascular risk. In parallel, she has worked in the regulatory field of medical devices and cosmetics, where she contributed to meeting the requirements of regulatory bodies. Since September 2026, Marina has formed part of the CaixaResearch Institute as Pre-Award Officer. She supports researchers in identifying funding opportunities, preparing competitive proposals and meeting the administrative and eligibility requirements of regional, national and international funding programmes
