Biography
With a PhD in Molecular Biology, Llorenç Rovirosa has developed his career in the field of genomics and sequencing technologies. Before joining the CaixaResearch Institute, he led the Genomics Platform at the Centre for Research in Agricultural Genomics in Barcelona, where he promoted the incorporation of genomic analysis technologies to support multidisciplinary research projects. Among his most notable contributions are the development of methodologies to study chromatin in rare cell populations and the characterisation of gene regulation during B-cell development. At the CaixaResearch Institute, he works as a transversal applications scientist, with a particular focus on the Genomics Platform, from where he promotes adoption of new technologies, supporting researchers in the design and development of advanced research projects.
