Director of Innovation
With a PhD in Nanotechnology and over two decades of international experience, Lídia Aguilera has built her career at the intersection between research, innovation and technology transfer. She has worked across academia, industry and consulting, promoting collaboration between scientists and the private sector to turn knowledge into solutions. Before joining the CaixaResearch Institute, she served as Head of Innovation and Industrial Partnerships at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and previously held positions at the University of Luxembourg and the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine.
At the CaixaResearch Institute, Lídia leads the Innovation Department, developing strategies that connect scientific discovery with real-world impact through intellectual property development, translational projects and strategic collaborations.
