Biography
With a degree in Telecommunications Engineering and an Executive MBA from IESE, Edgar Pérez Torre has built a solid career in technology and cybersecurity. He began his professional life in consultancy, working for seven years at Deloitte and S21sec on technology risk management projects.
He later served as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Desigual for five years and at “la Caixa” Foundation for over six years, gaining a comprehensive understanding of IT systems from a security perspective. This experience has provided him with an extensive, end-to-end view of technology environments.
At the CaixaResearch Institute, Edgar serves as Head of IT, leading the Institute’s technology strategy and ensuring secure, efficient and reliable digital environments. His work focuses on safeguarding systems and data while developing robust IT infrastructures that support and enable scientific research.
