Executive Director

Biography

With a PhD in Economics from Ramon Llull University, a Degree in Chemistry from the University of Barcelona, and a Diploma in Business Management from EADA, Àngel Font has built a multidisciplinary career at the intersection between science, social impact, and strategic management. He began his professional journey as an environmental engineer before joining Intermón Oxfam, where he held several leadership roles in international development and strategic planning. He founded the Un Sol Món (One World) Foundation, financed by Caixa Catalunya, where he ran job placement, social entrepreneurship, and social housing and microfinance projects. He also served as the first General Manager of ISGlobal.

Since 2010, Àngel has formed part of the “la Caixa” Foundation, where he currently serves as Deputy General Director of Research and Fellowships, and also represents the organisation as President of Philea – Philanthropy Europe Association. At the CaixaResearch Institute, he is Executive Director, overseeing its overall development and strategic direction, as well as contributing to the consolidation of a leading biomedical research centre in immunology.
