CosmoCaixa Science Museum – Barcelona

The CaixaResearch Institute is taking part in European Research Night for the first time with ‘ImmunoRevolution’, a special session dedicated to exploring how the immune system is transforming the medicine of the future.

On 26 September, the CaixaResearch Institute will join in the celebrations for European Research Night at CosmoCaixa with a special programme focusing on immunology. Under the title ‘ImmunoRevolution: From research to the medicine of the future’, researchers from the Institute and other centres supported by the ”la Caixa” Foundation will share the advances that are changing the way we understand and treat numerous diseases.

The session, which will take place in the Ágora Room from 6.00 pm to 8.30 pm, will address topics such as how the immune system works, autoimmune disorders, new immunotherapies for cancer and strategies for combating infectious diseases. Through short, dynamic talks, the audience will be able to discover how research in immunology is opening up new possibilities for the medicine of the future.

In addition, the CaixaResearch Institute will have its own stand with activities aimed at children, designed to introduce the youngest visitors to science and the immune system in a participatory and fun way.
