Education and field of expertise

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology) or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles, ideally in the biomedical research field.

Technical skills

• Proven experience in procurement processes and contract management.
• Experience working with ERP systems and e procurement platforms.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Key responsibilities and duties

• Manage end-to-end procurement processes for goods and services required for scientific and operational activities, in accordance with “la Caixa” Foundation framework.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and applicable regulatory and contractual basis.
• Develop an internal product catalogue for the laboratories, selecting suppliers and securing optimal commercial conditions.
• Supervise purchase orders, contracts, invoicing and delivery follow-up.
• Act as a key point of contact for research and administrative teams, ensuring a service oriented and responsive procurement function.
• Monitor and report key procurement performance indicators (KPIs).
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and digitalisation of procurement processes, including ERP and e procurement tools.
• Promote responsible purchasing practices, sustainability and ethical standards across the supply chain.
